TRACK & FIELD SCHOLARSHIPS
There are many different levels that a track & field athlete can get a scholarship. We help guide you to the right university that fits your needs and look at the right coaches for you with the right athletes to get you better. Can it be hard to get a full scholarship? Yes, but it doesn't mean that you cannot earn one as the years go on. Each athlete will improve and when they do the coaches will increase your scholarship.
There are 1058 men track & field teams in all the divisions and 1107 women track & field teams. But the difference is that each division has a certain about of scholarships they are able to give to the athletes and below is a break down.
TRAINING & SEASON
The training is set up differently for each coach. They will let you know the times you will have your training for the semester and when your competitions are. You will have practice 6 days out of the week and up to 20 hours of week of training. This includes the easy runs, the workouts, cross training, weights and many other things.
The season for distance runners start in the fall from August to November for the cross country season. The track & field season begins with the indoor season in December until February or early March if you make nationals. The outdoor season starts in March and goes until May or until June if you make nationals.
The coaches are certified coaches and are full-time coaches that are paid, by the university so they are there for the athletes to make them better.
